🧠 Learn how to conduct Discrete Choice Experiments (DCEs) and uncover the "why" behind choices in health and care🤔 Our course: 📚 Focused on health, with 20+ years of experience. 📊 Real-world applications + hands-on learning. 👩🔬 Chat with researchers throughout the course.
The most interesting finding: Although hospital-based monitoring is generally preferred, patients with prior experience in community services actually prefer community based monitoring, suggesting that experience and familiarity play roles here
Our recent article with colleagues from @HERU_Abdn investigates patients’ preferences for alternative ways of ocular hypertension monitoring using a choice experiment doi.org/10.1136/bmjoph…

We simulated individual patients from a rick dataset containing 5000+ patients from electronic medical records using a novel discrete event simulation model. The results suggest that risk prediction strategy had a 96% probability of being cost effective
Check our recent paper with colleagues in @HERU_Abdn and other institutions assessed the cost-effectiveness of making treatment decisions for ocular hypertension patients based on a risk prediction tool in the UK bmjophth.bmj.com/content/9/1/e0…
@dwayne_boyers presenting the findings from his DCE! Great to see the public have a strong preference for choosing fluoridated toothpastes to avoid decay! @HERU_Abdn @BSODR_UK #BSODR2024
Fantastic research from @dwayne_boyers @aberdeenuni @HERU_Abdn presented @BSODR_UK #bsodr2024 Such a breadth of health economics in oral health research showcased over the past few days, which has been so good to see! 🙌
