Donald Trump and J. D. Vance will take office not even 3 years after Trump-appointed SCOTUS justices provided the deciding votes to overturn #Roe. A second Trump term could be worse for #SRHR & beyond. More from our Acting Co-CEO, Destiny Lopez: gu.tt/4fd04Xz

New data: 155,000 people traveled out of state for abortion care in 2024. Since Dobbs, state bans have had sweeping, detrimental effects on the US #AbortionAccess landscape. No one should be forced to leave their state for essential abortion care. More: gu.tt/3G1Wtzn

This week, our director of state policy Candace Gibson will join a panel of #ReproHealth experts to explore @PRBdata’s new interactive scorecard on state-level policies shaping contraceptive access across the US. Learn more and register to attend on 7/16: gu.tt/4lvPBK6

#Nevada’s parental notification law is now in effect. Nevada joins 9 other states requiring parental notification before a minor’s abortion. Young people know what’s best for themselves. They deserve abortion access without barriers. Explore our map: states.guttmacher.org/policies/

About 155,000 people traveled out of state for an abortion last year, according to research from @Guttmacher. Now, a new federal law could make that journey even harder by jeopardizing critical federal funding for Planned Parenthood & threatening clinics in key access states. ⬇️
🔬 We’re trusting the experts, the data, and hundreds of peer‑reviewed studies proving medication abortion is safe—not the junk science pushing an agenda. Attacks on science threaten all our healthcare. #MifeInAll50 Read more: zurl.co/q4kxQ
The EACH Act is being reintroduced in Congress today & it’s more critical than ever. The bill would guarantee health coverage for abortion without restrictions & end the discriminatory Hyde Amendment. More on the EACH Act's bold vision of #AbortionAccess: gu.tt/4eXU9Gs

Abortion care is health care. The EACH Act would ensure everyone—no matter their income, insurance, or zip code—can get the care they need. We are proud to support this bold legislation for abortion justice. Thank you @RepPressley and @SenDuckworth for leading the way.
Today we introduced the EACH Act to end the Hyde Amendment that denies families across the country coverage for abortion care. Grateful for the partnership of @RepDianaDeGette, @JanSchakowsky, @MaxwellFrostFL, @SenDuckworth, @PattyMurray, @MazieHirono, and Rep. Barbara Lee.
We believe EVERYONE should have the freedom to control their own lives and futures. That’s why we support the EACH Act — a federal bill that stops politicians from interfering in people’s decisions about abortion care. Learn more: thehill.com/newsletters/he…

Guttmacher expert Isaac Maddow-Zimet spoke with @19thnews about harms of the new federal spending law. Our data show that thousands of people are already crossing state lines for abortion. "Defunding" Planned Parenthood could put care further out of reach. gu.tt/40mk7O1
Thank you, @SenJackyRosen, for introducing an amendment to the recissions package that would have saved funding for international family planning. Everyone, everywhere should have access to the sexual and reproductive health care they deserve.
Yesterday at #IPC2025, our research scientists joined colleagues on a panel to discuss how to meet major challenges facing #SRHR, such as anti-rights backlash and mis- & disinformation. They were united in their message: progress demands bold, coordinated & collaborative action.

From expanding access to contraception to securing the right to decide whether & when to have children—and reducing maternal deaths—#SDG3 & #SDG5 depend on SRHR. World leaders must accelerate investments in #SRHR. The 2030 SDG deadline is fast approaching—the time to act is now.

Following the #HLPF2025 plenary session on #SDG3, our message is clear: To achieve health and well-being for all, decision-makers must commit to safeguarding and scaling up investments in comprehensive sexual & reproductive health & rights. Full statement: gu.tt/3UdnDGM
Analysis from @Guttmacher has found that a 70% cut in UK funding for SRHR would result in an estimated 875,000 unsafe abortions, 2.6 million unintended pregnancies, and 2,740 maternal deaths globally. We cannot step back now; women’s lives depend on it.
