If Bernie’s Social Security bill was enacted in 2021, Musk would have paid $2.9 billion more in taxes, Social Security would’ve been solvent for 75 years, benefits would’ve increased by $2,400 & 93% of Americans would have paid Zero more in taxes. The only one “entitled” is Musk.
Elon Musk suggests he wants to cut “500 billion dollars” from programs like Social Security and Medicare, calling them “entitlements”
Today's a good day to remember that Medicare for All would save 68,000 lives & $650 billion each & every year, per Yale & the Republican CBO Director. Trump's "big, beautiful bill" will cause 51,000 people to unnecessarily die each year by stripping healthcare from 17 million.
New Economist/YouGov poll Do you support or oppose "Medicare for all"? Support: 59% Oppose: 27% Net Approval: +32%
Lives Saved a year Medicare for All: 68,000 Cane Sugar in Coke: Zero Cost Savings a year Medicare for All: $650 billion Cane Sugar in Coke: Zero
A party leadership that doesn’t even endorse its own nominees doesn’t deserve to lead anything, much less a party
Top House Dem Hakeem Jeffries doesn’t endorse socialist Zohran Mamdani in NYC mayoral race in lukewarm statement after highly-anticipated meeting trib.al/zXMlP8V
Mamdani has been asked more times about a phrase he hasn't said than Cuomo has been asked about the women he sexually harassed.
Fenway Park is an iconic American institution, and it’s the workers there that make every Red Sox game special. The team is extremely profitable. They should treat their employees with respect, pay them decent wages and negotiate a fair contract with the union.
CBS’s billionaire owners pay Trump $16 million to settle a bogus lawsuit while trying to sell the network to Skydance. Stephen Colbert, an extraordinary talent and the most popular late night host, slams the deal. Days later, he's fired. Do I think this is a coincidence? NO.
Colbert has the highest ratings of any late night host. "Financial reasons" my ass. This is political.
Billionaires like Bill Ackman have promised to spend tens of millions of dollars to defeat @ZohranKMamdani because they don't like the result of the democratic primary. That's not democracy, that's oligarchy in action. Stand with Zohran.
Had a great meeting with @ZohranKMamdani and am deeply impressed by the grassroots campaign he is running. The Oligarchs are prepared to undermine democracy & spend tens of millions to buy the election for his opponents. We will not allow that to happen. Stand with Zohran.
Wait what?? Adelita was the Bernie and AOC backed candidate. The candidate who stood on the stage at their very well-attended Fight Oligarchy rally in Tuscon earlier this year
"Mamdani momentum withered in the deserts of southern Arizona on Tuesday night." @jackhealyNYT on Adelita Grijalva's convincing win in Tucson against the upstarts who called for a new face and name to succeed Raul Grijalva in the House. nytimes.com/2025/07/15/us/…
We better not ever hear “vote blue no matter who” ever again.
In it to win it.
It's weird that a big tent Democratic party wouldn't include the guy who just handily won the Democratic primary in the city with the most Democratic voters in America. #votersmatter
Is there room for a Zohran Mamdani and a Dean Phillips in the Democratic Party? "The answer ultimately I think is no," @DeanBPhillips tells me.
Wow who would have thought that electing a rapist would have complicated the release of the Epstein Files?
Zohran Mamdani got more votes in 1 city than Dean Phillips got in all 50 states in 24’ Mamdani in NYC: 565,639 Phillips (50 states): 529,486
Is there room for a Zohran Mamdani and a Dean Phillips in the Democratic Party? "The answer ultimately I think is no," @DeanBPhillips tells me.
"I can’t help but believe that in the future we will see in the United States and throughout the western world an increasing trend toward the next logical step, employee ownership. It is a path that benefits a free people," Ronald Reagan, the "radical socialist" in in 1987.
This is horrifying.
67% of moderates support Medicare for All according to a New Economist/YouGov Poll. Why don't "moderates" inside-the-beltway have a compelling message? Maybe it's because they refuse to support a working-class agenda that moderates outside-the-beltway overwhelmingly want.
Joe Scarborough asks, "why is it that in the Democratic Party, the three most compelling figures" have been "the mayoral candidate [Zohran Mamdani], Bernie Sanders and AOC"? "Why can't moderate Democrats...make that same compelling message?"
