Amazon claims to have "miscalculated" revenues paid us last month and as a result are docking this month's revenues, on which we rely to pay writers and artists and keep the magazine going. If you want to fill holes in your collection, now's a great time amazon.com/dp/B095ND66GC
My horror-noir novel LONG BEFORE THEY DIE is now on #kindleunlimited Music, monsters, sex, incomprehensible angles, and MURDER! California noir meets Lovecraftian cosmic horror in the psychedelic sixties with a revelatory ending! amazon.com/dp/B0DVVFWSHP
November Knox was there when the judge died. She didn't do it, but she needs an explanation the cops will accept. "Disciplinary Actions" by Jesse Bethea is in issue fourteen of Guilty Crime Story Magazine! amazon.com/dp/B0F4JVDBJD
Someone asked, "Your guidelines say no PI fiction, but my PI isn't on a case, he's ______" If your PI is solving a mystery, no, not for general submissions. If your story is about a bank robbery and murder and the robber/murderer just happens to be a PI, okay.

Please note subs for fifteen are still closed. Any subs sent before Monday will go unread. Thanks for your cooperation.
Issue fifteen is mostly filled, but we'll open to subs on Monday. Stories in the 4k range will have the best chance of meeting our needs, and please make sure stories are set around summer. Last year's summer issue call, we strangely got a bunch of winter-themed stories subbed.

Quasi-classic crime fiction? Some people love Charlotte Armstrong. I've read several of her books and found them solid but not satisfying. I think it's an aesthetic thing. They have this je ne c'est quoi that doesn't connect with me.

#ICYMI We've got new #flashfiction! "'Someone died in this house.' "Rachel stared at the old woman on her doorstep..." Check out "The Final Curtain Twitch" by Gavin Kent! guiltycrimemag.com/flash/the-fina…

I'm working on a new Sam Harrigan novel! While I do, please give the first one a read! amazon.com/dp/B0CSWPYD7G
I like the cover, even if I'm not a particular fan of Ellery Queen. Don't get me wrong: big fan of what they did for the industry, just not their particular style of writing.

Checked out our latest flash? "3 AM. The trailer is dark. Where are her pills? I know she’s still prescribed the Oxy..." Read "One Way Out" by Hubble Stark! guiltycrimemag.com/flash/one-way-…

It's @BrandonBarrows's birthday, so if you enjoy the Sam Harrigan stories, check out Sam's first full-length novel AND OF COURSE, THERE WAS THE GIRL! Sam agreed to find a runaway bride, not a lovely phantom with a trail of devastation in her wake... amazon.com/dp/B0CSWPYD7g
Classic crime fiction Publishers try hard to make this look like a western, cuz it's L'Amour, but it's a crime novel set the year it was published, 1966, about a writer who finds evidence of a century-old crime and the family who'll kill him to keep it secret. It's excellent.
