Gregg Hurwitz
@GreggHurwitz
NYT Bestselling Author of the Orphan X thrillers. Co-pres @thrillerwriters. Ridgeback dad. Screenwriter and ne'er-do-well.
Thank you to all my fellow @thrillerwriters members for stepping up and filling the shelves of the Palisades Charter High School Library after it was devastated by the fires.

This was a bourbon and ice-cream-intensive evening. The steak joint served wagyu-fat washed old-fashioneds. Enough to make a vodka expert veer hard into the brown stuff (thus the unbuttoned shirt). And? Turns out popcorn brittle ice cream is the ideal nightcap.
On the last night of the excellent @CBusBookFest (40,000 people in attendance!), @juliadevillers had many pints of terrific @jenisicecreams delivered to the hotel and we all gorged. Yum. Left to right: @varungauri, @juliadevillers, @GreggHurwitz, and me.
Have you read every Mitch Rapp book multiple times like me? Are you looking for a new book series to binge? Evan Smoak is your guy - try the Orphan X series from @GreggHurwitz! #DoYouNeedMyHelp? @MitchRappFans @VinceFlynnFans
“I have a great respect for the semicolon; it’s a very useful little chap.” Abe Lincoln. “Do not use semicolons. All they do is show you’ve been to college.” Kurt Vonnegut What's your vote, readers?

Hey, LA people! Event alert! Come see me, Rozan, Rice, and Hurwitz talk about the craft of writing on Wed., Aug. 13 at the Skirball Center in West L.A.! We’ll be signing books so grab a copy of THE BIG EMPTY!
A breakdown of 25 legendary literary feuds. In the case of Rushdie and le Carré's fallout, the inimitable Christopher Hitchens (friend to Rushdie) remarked: "One’s job on such occasions, when seeing the embers begin to cool, is to blow on them as hard as possible.”…
Great festival. Thank you to the Motive Crime & Mystery Festival and to all my Canadian readers, who are 13% more polite than all other readers! @VicCollege_UofT

The most strategic frame to approach this isn't left versus right or red versus blue. The most strategic frame is dark-tetrad psychopaths versus everyone else. The former take three primary forms: Hostile foreign regimes running psy ops Psychopathic algos driving social…
You know, I really miss the days when our biggest problem was just the left. Now the biggest problem is that it’s coming from the left, from the right, and from the center, and it’s becoming hard and harder to figure out what’s what.
You absolutely should not. Reading Spencer's work would make you wiser. Being wiser would make you less miserable. Believe me when I tell you, that is the last thing I want to see happen to you. Please - carry on as you are.
Your son has sex with men. Why should I care what he has to write?
.@jp_books was hilarious (as you can see) at International Thriller Writers #Thrillerfest. What a fun interview. Would you believe his foundation has given away 200 million dollars to literary causes?

Two of my favorites. One of the best parts about touring is running into reprobates like these guys with some regularity.
Ran into some friends while attending the @CBusBookFest—turns out @GreggHurwitz, @JoeFinder and me were all on the same panel. Great time!
At a party six years after this hostile and hilarious segment on Dick Cavett, Norman Mailer and Gore Vidal crossed paths at a party and Mailer punched Vidal in the face, knocking him over. Vidal's response? “Once again, words fail Norman Mailer.” buff.ly/H7GwoHZ

I’ll be in Columbus, Ohio on July 12-13 to take part in the Columbus Book Festival. I hope to see you there! buff.ly/0EGVWiY

"Melliotes turned sharply and looked at me three-eyed. His own two eyes were dark and glowing. I preferred the gun’s single eye. I couldn’t stare it down, but it bore no malice."
