Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis spoke with Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shaheen, the newly appointed Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates & extended his warm wishes for a successful tenure.

The conversation highlighted Greece's ongoing support for increased & unimpeded humanitarian assistance to Gaza and emphasized the importance of strengthening the Palestinian Authority in addressing current significant challenges.

They also discussed future opportunities for exchange visits.

1/2The EU Heads of Mission in Jerusalem & Ramallah met yesterday with Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa. The EU reaffirmed its solidarity with the Palestinian people amid worsening conditions in the West Bank & Gaza, & addressed urgent political, economic & humanitarian challenges.

2/2The EU🇪🇺also confirmed its continued support to the Palestinian Authority, incl. the announcement of €150 million in financial assistance to be disbursed over the coming months for the payment of civil servant salaries & €52 million to UNRWA for delivering critical services.
