Amelia Earhart’s courage continues to lift us all. In honor of her birthday and this National Amelia Earhart Day, we celebrate the pioneer whose life and accomplishments remind all of us—but especially Kansans—to be bold, pursue our dreams, and never stop pushing forward.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that the future of Kansas is dependent upon the steps we take now to address our state’s dwindling water supply. Read more about the steps we're taking to protect our water for the next generation in @StateAffairsKS.

Since 2005, the Kansas State Capitol has hosted blood drives in partnership with @CommBloodCtrKC. Today's blood drive brings us one step closer to 1,000 donations collected at the Statehouse. This milestone is saving lives and building stronger communities.

Today at the Statehouse, my administration is partnering with @CommBloodCtrKC to host our 12th blood drive. Stop by between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to donate blood and do your part to save lives.

Senator Bob Dole was a veteran, principled leader, and passionate public servant. From his work to pass the Americans with Disabilities Act to his efforts to protect Social Security, he embodied everything good about Kansas. On his 102nd birthday, we remember his enduring legacy.

Child care shouldn't be a barrier to entering the workforce. By increasing child care slots and slashing bureaucratic red tape, we’re making it easier for parents to work and providers to open their doors.
Under my administration, Kansas has secured more than $23.6 billion in new economic development projects—creating jobs, growing communities, and building a stronger economy for the long term.
July is Disability Pride Month. Kansans with disabilities are our family and friends, workers, students, and leaders. This month—and every month—we celebrate their invaluable contributions and achievements while reaffirming our commitment to breaking down remaining barriers.

When we support literacy, we support academic achievement, workforce readiness, and career opportunities. This week, I heard from Kansas educators about how the Blueprint for Literacy will transform their teaching, enabling students to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

The truth is: Kansas’ siloed early childhood system wasn’t working for providers, families, or communities. The Office of Early Childhood streamlines coordination and services, generating more solutions for those on the frontlines of early childhood education.

The Trump administration's shocking decision to withhold education funding directly harms students & schools in Kansas & across the country. That's why today I joined 17 governors in demanding the immediate release of $6.8B, of which nearly $43M is for K-12 education in Kansas.

The Office of Early Childhood is making Kansas a place where families want to raise their kids, businesses can easily access resources, and providers have the tools they need to thrive. A flourishing early childhood system builds a flourishing state for all.
