There are multiple paths to a good life, and Lt. Gov. Coleman and I have made it a priority to help more Kentuckians earn their GED. Through waiving the testing fee and taking testing on the road, I'm proud we're seeing progress.

Folks, we are having some serious weather pop up in areas of the state, with warnings in the Northern region. Please have your weather alerts on and take shelter if needed.

Kentucky, please be aware of the heavy rain that’s continuing across the state with the potential for flash flooding in some areas. Have your weather notifications on and avoid high water. Let’s do what we can to keep everyone safe.

Since waiving the GED testing fee in his first term, Gov. Andy Beshear announced today that more Kentuckians without a high school diploma are earning their GED, with a success rate that surpasses the national rate. Read more: tinyurl.com/yc7b6zat

We’ve got more great news, Kentucky – June's unemployment rate was down, more jobs are filled and more people are working.
