Last year, Stoney's administration took down an online database that tracked city officials' spending — despite city code requiring the database be published. I asked Avula if he'd resume the mandatory practice. His answer: "We just aren't there yet." richmond.com/news/local/gov…
Maybe they don’t realize that the water crisis: - wasn’t his fault because he wasn’t there that day - was previous mayor’s fault before he started his eight years in office - wasn’t his fault because no one told him about it - wasn’t his fault because he fixed it anyway
Always hard to tell how much stock to put into unscientific man-on-the-street interviews, but it sure seems like water is still very much on the minds of Richmonders today. Not a great sign for Stoney on his home turf.
