Tonights stroll took me past Great Chalfield Manor. Some might recognise it from the TV shows Wolf Hall or Poldark.

I've lived in cities. I did 3 years in Liverpool, and 2 years in London. But I really am a country bumpkin now. A short drive from home and I'm on the edge of Salisbury Plain, walking around an Iron Age hillfort. My house is in this shot, 5 miles away. This is home now.

I'm happy to see that a screaming party of swifts has taken residence in the skies above my house this summer. While the noise can a bit loud, I could sit for hours and watch them dart through the sky at speed.
Bit of an odd post, but I went out of my way this evening to take a few photos of this graveyard at North Bradley. There used to be a a lovely little chapel on this site. Built in 1779, it was demolished in 1961, and a new church building was built on the main road. North Bradley…
