Spoke to @CooFMofficial Political leaders, especially within unionism, must firmly condemn such divisiveness. Sport unites communities - there is no place for prejudice in our society. Leadership is needed to challenge these attitudes & protect inclusive spaces for all children.
Deeply disturbing that North Down Cricket Club felt compelled to cancel its cross-community summer camp due to intolerance of some. Children, including from East Belfast GAA, deserve to play together in an inclusive, respectful environment. Leaders must call out this prejudice.

This was a vile act of dehumanisation. Effigies & displays fuelled by racist hatred have no place in our society. I welcome police treating it as a hate incident — those responsible must be held to account. Diversity, inclusion & equality will always triumph over xenophobia &hate

Vile, racist effigies & posters atop Moygashel bonfire must be removed immediately. This is not culture. This disgusting act, fuelled by sickening racist attitudes, is a clear incitement to hatred. All political leaders must step up, condemn it outright & demand its removal now.

Spoke today condemning the vile racist effigy of refugees on Moygashel bonfire. Locals in Moygashel & Dungannon are scared and disgusted. This is not culture — it’s hate.Refugees are our neighbours & friends. This incitement to hatred must be removed now. Leaders must speak out.
