While costs are climbing, Georgia’s EMCs are fighting to hold the line to keep energy affordable. Because that’s what neighbors do. When challenges come, we stand together. All for one. One for all.
Georgia’s EMCs give their all. Empowered by the 5 million Georgians they serve. Not-for-profit. Community-driven. Because when 5 million stand together, they are powerful.

Lineworkers from @GreyStonePower & @CarrollEMC work together on a C-8 pole at our recent Exercise 2 training course. In this lab, apprentices deconstruct and rebuild a three-phase line with full climbing gear, as well as learn skills and gain knowledge for working in the field.

A lineworker’s load can be heavy! Equipment & tools they carry while climbing a utility pole can weigh 50 lbs - same as 6 gal of water! For #LineworkerAppreciationDay, read more about The Power Behind Your Power in @georgiamagazine: tinyurl.com/3epyy256 #ThankaLineworker

Be weather aware! Strong storms are expected across Georgia beginning Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning. With the forecasted possibility of tornadoes and damaging winds, power outages are a possibility. Be sure you have weather alerts on and your safe space ready!
