I'm going home! 5+ years ago, I led @engcareerexpo at the University of Lagos and trained ~1k students in different technical and soft skills. I'm excited to return this year to deliver the keynote at the grand finale. Full circle moment 🫶🏾

Less than two hours to go to the start of #TheNextCoference by @ecxunilag. Tune In - ecx.website/tnc
I first heard about ECX when @AdeboluMayowa met me and asked me to come be his Head of IT. Since then, it's safe to say my life has never being the same. From hosting ECX 1.0 to raising the bar with my amazing team in 2.0, I would say we've done a pretty good job. S/O to my team
Last weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to speak at @apiconflagos, on a topic close to my heart: "How to Design API Documentation That Both Technical & Non-Technical Audiences Love." Earlier that day, I also joined the Women in API Panel alongside some truly inspiring…
At the ECX 5.0 Grand Finale, Sodiq will open the conversation on what it really means to build tech for tomorrow, where innovation is not isolated, and community is not an afterthought.
“Are you a Developer?” 🫠 That was the most asked question I got at the @apiconflagos Conference over the weekend. The short answer is no, I am not, and the long answer is that I am a non-technical builder in the Web3 space and I still show up. As someone deeply involved in…
I had an amazing time hosting #BuildWithAINairobi2025 on Saturday. We explored Google's latest AI tools through @_jkimani 's keynote, hands-on codelabs facilitated by some experts here and Technical keynotes covering Android, Cloud, AI, Web and Angular from our GDEs!
“To see Dart only as the language for Flutter is to miss out on its most powerful proposition: its potential as a true, end-to-end, full-stack solution.” medium.com/@developerjami…
Pray for the kain blessing wey go dey make people dey call you liar, say e no possible.
you can probably draw a straight line from our upbringing to why my cofounder and i prioritize high agency individuals over familial connections, as i noted in this thread from last year.
last week, i happened on a thread of people expressing displeasure at their seemingly capable relatives' reluctance to influence their career progression. it was particularly interesting to observe how not participating in nepotism can be reframed as a moral failing.
i'm not saying privilege doesn't give you a head start in life, but resorting to binary thinking when correlating background with outcomes does you no favors unless of course your goal is to remain oblivious to hidden nuance while basking in excuses and defeatism.
prescient. headline: went to a private university. fine print: parents gave up everything, including the ability to afford private tertiary education for his siblings. could only afford 2-meals fees. he lived off completing schoolmates' coding projects and selling sachet water.
*cries in the realization that any narrative that smells like a grass to grace story of me will be instantly marred by the fact that i went to babcock university
I read @UnkleAyo ‘s thread and @OoTheNigerian ‘s response on @realFemiOtedola upcoming book release . My initial reaction is that two things can be true . Debates on twitter seem to always take the either/or position . I will be the first person to say people with privilege…
Are people who are born into middle class families Nepo babies too? because this slope is very slippery and reducing every success to Nepotism is how we trap people... My kids future would be very different because I worked hard so they can be "Nepo" babies haha
