Some years back when teaching at a University in Kenya, i gave students an assignment with a tight deadline to submit on email; just before deadline, a students sent a doc full of funny things like $%0@*!0#&@*0~. Later he sent the correct document saying the previous got a virus!

It’s a dangerous to overpromise , esp when you have no intentions of keeping those promises. Don’t give people false hope just to escape the pressure of the moment or just to get what you want! Lies will always catch up with you!

People don’t think about you as much as you think they do. They’re too busy worrying about their own problems, not you! The world doesn’t revolve around you.

Making mistakes over and over again and then saying give me another chance, is not leadership. that is gaslighting !

People may not know exactly what they want to go, but they’re very clear on what they don’t want. And in the art of war, the enemy should not be asking you for your plan!

There were leaders before you, and there will be leaders after you. Serve people well with humility and excellence- power is only borrowed, not eternal. There was once, Mugabe, Moi…..Biwott etc !

No business, brand, or monopoly is too big to crumble. We once had big giants like Nokia, Nakumatt etc., now nonexistent or mere shadows of their former glory. Safaricom, take note!

The sad thing with lying too much is that even when you’re genuinely telling the truth, no one believes you anymore. Once trust is gone, it’s gone kabisaa!

Don’t overstay in leadership, leave when your impact is at its peak - don’t erode your gains & legacy by clinging on to power!
