To cap off another amazing year of sport at St Mary’s, we attended the @GatesheadSSP #INSPIRE Gateshead School Sports Awards. Our girls football team received the Barclays Girls' Football School Partnership Award for their fantastic efforts this season! #WeAreStMarys #ICanDoIt

We are incredibly proud of our pupils who performed a prize-winning rap written by Y5 tonight at the Schools Sports Partnership Awards evening at the Fed Brewery. It incorporated the themes of Friendship and Sport, and they performed wonderfully on the big stage.

Year 5 had a incredible day at Gateshead Stadium participating in the @bwcet Celebration of Sport with all the schools in our Trust community. Thank you to the always amazing @GatesheadSSP for organising another fantastic event! #WeAreStMarys

If gold medals were given for sporting values, friendship, supporting each other (and other schools!) with high fives and handshakes or cheering the loudest, then all of our athletes would’ve won one! It was a real TEAM effort today - we are so proud of everyone! #WeAreStMarys

St Mary’s had the most amazing day at the @GatesheadSSP Inspire Gateshead Schools Athletics Festival! The team were a credit to our school and represented us with utmost distinction in everything they did! #WeAreStMarys

Y6 had a brilliant (if not slightly warm!) afternoon exploring the grounds of @NT_Gibside for the @GatesheadSSP Orienteering Festival! They used the map very effectively to find lots of the checkpoints along the way! #WeAreStMarys

Our Y5 cricketing superstars did us proud again - this time with SILVER medals in the @GatesheadSSP Countdown Cricket finals @WhickhamCC! A well-deserved reward for an outstanding team: their skills are incredible and sporting values even better! #WeAreStMarys 🥈🏏

Thanks to @GatesheadSSP for an excellent afternoon of tennis for our Year 5/6 players. We had a fantastic time and finished in 3rd place receiving ‘bronze badges’. Well done! #wearestmarys 🎾🥉🎾

⭐️ 𝐏𝐄 & 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐔𝐌 𝟐𝟓/𝟐𝟔 ⭐️ Following yesterday’s spending review, the DfE have confirmed that the Primary PE & Sport Premium will continue for 25/26! 😁 This is a great outcome for PE & School Sport, and we will continue to lobby for ongoing investments ⭐️

Sycamore are proud of our performance at Sports Day today. We all took part with a positive attitude and demonstrated many of our school values such as resilience, bravery and empowered. Thanks also to @GatesheadSSP for organising. 🏅

We were delighted to welcome our friends and students from Caedmon, Dunston Hill, Lobley Hill, Front Street, Brandling, St. Mary's and Clover Hill primary schools today when we hosted their inter-school athletics event with Gateshead School Sports Partnership. A great day!
