When I was about 13 I wrote to BBC Books pitching a Doctor Who spoof. (Apparently thinking I was the first person to come up with that…) As an example, the companion was called Ian Chesthestersterson. 🥸 Got a very polite no thank you and a free book. (War Of The Daleks.)

I worked at Vue for a few months after university. They would leave quiet screenings messy to prioritise cleaning popular ones. Staff could be let go if they were found sitting in seats. One time a guy’s gf was in hospital and they didn’t tell him right away. (Then he quit.)

A family member wanted to see Deadpool & Wolverine so we went to a daytime screening. We left early due to a young couple shagging. They were apparently undeterred by a) other people in the room and b) Johnny Storm getting his skin flayed off.
