"This report proposes a framework for understanding the range of blockade scenarios, analyzes them with a series of 23 wargames, and assesses the operational challenges that the respective parties would face in implementing and countering a blockade."
The inaugural online "Littoral Commander" tournament is approaching the final stages! Chris Lowe (USMC) and Matt Evers (USMC) will be fighting for first place in the finals! Special thanks to Peter Robbins for hosting and managing the tournament. 🎲 💥 🏆 👑
One of my favorite @GUWargaming presentations. Very interesting, thought provoking and leaves a lot to be desired in many commercial wargames. Also, Col. Gifford is a great guy: I asked him for his slides (unclassified) and he shared them right away.
ICYMI: COL Jim Gifford discusses nuclear #wargaming and how nuclear use should not be game over. He combines his nuclear and wargaming expertise and provides excellent resources for those looking to integrate nuclear weapon use into games. #wargaming ow.ly/Sl8650UWh6g
i'm proud to share that i've now watched (and taken handwritten notes from) all the 145 @GUWargaming webinars! ▶️ another of my 3 wargaming resolutions for 2025 ticked off: wargamingweekly.substack.com/p/wargaming-we… ✅ now onto actually revising these notes instead of letting them gather dust! 🤦🏾♂️
ICYMI: Mark Herman discussed his experiences in #DoD and Commercial wargame design -- leveraging his own designs covering both historical and contemporary conflicts. #wargaming Link: youtu.be/xyisIJPs-bo

Another day, another round of Major’s Gambit. Finding what works and what might need a house rule. Getting paid to do this? Love it. I come to CACSC every day fired up to talk Army, plan ops, and think through tough problems with great people. Wouldn’t want to do anything else.
Spent another afternoon exploring Major’s Gambit. Really fun and I think we might be able to use it for some teaching in the future. Looking forward to tomorrow’s round!

In Dunn Kempf: U.S. Army Tactical Wargame (Cold War 1/285), Germany 1977, A Co 1/16th Inf (Iron Rangers) faces off against T-62s of the 5th Guards MRD. Defend Hunfeld with original minis, terrain, and materials. A Cold War nostalgia clash! #Historicon2025
I wish @HMGS_Inc was closer to the home of the Foundation--each year at Historicon, it's been NOTHING but friendly staff, friendly gamers, friendly vendors. HIGHLY recommend H-con to people who love history #games and minis!
<THREAD> In 2019, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Faced with my own mortality, I decided to create a game to play w/my family. 6 yrs later, I'm cancer free & proud to publish the open beta playtest version of WONDER × WORLDS—available for FREE! 1/ wonderxworlds.itch.io/wonder-worlds
👇 A really interesting case for the employment of wargaming - well worth looking into!
