Watching from the sidelines.
A six month notice period would be the norm for such a high position. The going down to three days a week also makes the handover smoother. Bailing out before having to defend the LTN fiasco in court makes extremely good sense. somersetlive.co.uk/news/somerset-…

Ha, after @bob_combedown embarrassed the full council @bathnes & @bathnesld on Thursday with allegations of miss practice against council leaders and so called officers, a retrospective planning application was put in on Wellington Buildings @ 14:00 on the Friday.
With the Libdem run @bathnes it is so often do as I say not as I do. The leader of the council has known for years of dodgy goings on (this and others) but refuses to act.
BATH: LibDem Council in more legal trouble. @bob_combedown states that councillors carried out work on listed buildings without consent - a criminal offence and then knowingly let them. Rectification could cost £200k per house. @Telegraph

Don’t expect an invite to @bathnes CX’s farewell drinks party @bob_combedown
Well @bob_combedown gave the full council @bathnes both barrels this evening. Shame that the Scrutiny Committee wasn’t screened on Tuesday. Some revelations were put to panel. The minutes, if a true record, should be interesting 🤨
So just in Bathnes we have £1mn worth of redundant heat pumps. I think the total scheme spend is about £3bn. I can only hope some authorities are more on the ball and the pumps work.
This is another abandoned heat pump system in bathnes. It cost me £450k and aimed to decarbonise Charlton House care home in Keynsham. The home was closed soon after this pic following a govt inspection when residents were found shivering sitting in their own piss.
I don't think the £557k heat pump (paid for by me) was ever fully connected, but it is hanging off the pontoon. I don't know what damage may have been caused by just leaving it there. I am not a heating engineer.
As the pool has a 150 year peppercorn lease from Bathnes, it is not really part of the estate. Is it. If the pump can save energy equivalent gas to heat 40 homes, then the £557k should have been spent heating 40 homes and not a location for hen parties and ladies who lunch.
Cleveland Pool's £557k water source heat pump was financed by a grant obtained by Bathnes from the UK govt's Salix decarbonisation scheme. The scheme was for public sector organisations to decarbonise their estates. It hangs under the pontoon.
Cleveland Pools are abandoned, for want of a better word. £9.4 million and counting - financed by me, but mainly by those who dream and buy a Lottery ticket. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

🚨NEW: The Liberal Democrats have called on the government to convene a COBRA meeting to address the ongoing heatwave
It looks like it’s going to be an interesting couple of months for The Boss. The Sydney Place LTN increasingly looks like it’s going to end up in court. A new (damming) forensic report into the 2019 eligibility shenanigans has been handed into the authorities, & we have Telford.
