Yang Daoyuan, the No. 1 serviceman (i.e. commander) of the Mao Zedong Thought Red Guards Wuhan Area Revolutionary Rebel Command (abbreviated as Wuhan Steel No. 2 Command), died of a heart attack at 11:21 this morning in Huizhou, Guangdong at the age of 85. @GPCRPodcast
Yes one says "International Red Guards" which really confuses me- were they a rebel faction of expats in Beijing? (There was one, it was led by Sidney Rittenberg!) and the other is the Capital City Red Guards' Picket Corps. CCRG's were a loyalist faction.
