We have reached the mid-term of implementation of the GKMA-UDP. Today, the consultants for the Program's mid-term review, @PazelConroy presented their inception report to the Ministry of Kampala, implementing entities & @WorldBank. @HajjatMinsa @kyofakabuye2



Today,in collaboration with the College of Engineering @Makerere,we held a training for entity physical planners. It was revealed that two major hurdles in urban planning are land management &Solid waste management. @WorldBank @AFD_en @HajjatMinsa @kyofakabuye2 @ministry_lands

Today, H.E @KagutaMuseveni flagged off civil works on the Bukasa-Sentema-Kakiri Rd (12.1km) under GKMA-UDP. @HajjatMinsa, residents & local leaders witnessed the ceremony. H.E urged residents to fight household poverty since @GovUganda has given peace & is putting effort in devt.




Today, we participated in the #APSD2025, showcasing progress of the GKMA-UDP projects. The Rt. Hon. @R_Nabbanja emphasized the need to work on the roads & drainages in the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area. We reiterated our commitment to delivering the Program's objective.

Update📌Along one of our project sites, Cathedral Rise- Albert Cook Road in @MukonoMunicipal, street lights are being installed. Roads under @GovUganda's GKMA-UDP are designed to have proper drainage, walkways, streetlights & trees planted along them. @KagutaMuseveni @WorldBank

Update📌 Civil Works on Bukasa - sentema- Kakiri road in @WakisoDLG are taking shape.Clearing & widening of the road corridor has been done for the road that will be a dual carriageway.The contractor is Chongqing International Construction Corporation. @KagutaMuseveni @WorldBank
