25 years! Grand Island Public Library Director Celine Swan has officially served the city for a quarter-century(and counting!). Please join us in congratulating Celine on such a great milestone!
ICYMI: Last week we welcomed the arrival of our new aerial platform tower truck, which will be known as "Tower One." This new truck will help us access the many multi-story buildings throughout the city. Some little helpers gave it a good wash before a push-in ceremony.

Mayor Steele was proud to welcome about 50 riders on the 2025 Journey of Hope TransAmerica ride across the country! The Arc of Central Nebraska greeted the riders as they rolled in to Boarders Inn & Suites this morning!

After 25 years, we give one final tip of the cap to Capt. Scott Piercy. We held a retirement reception for him at Fire Station #4 in front of family & fellow firefighters. He said he's excited for an upcoming trip to Alaska! Enjoy retirement and thank you for your service!
