Be happy, but be ready! The news posts were pretty awful this morning, but we can make our own happiness while still being vigilant and prepared (or have a 🐾 friend who is)!

Throwback Thursday: We got married on a beautiful white sand beach, then walked uptown to get gluten-free pizza and play pinball before getting ready for a nice dinner at a wonderful restaurant. We can only enjoy memories if we make an effort to create new ones!

Despite appearances, Dorian is never a Pawn♟️

We love all of God's creatures (some more than others). This guy was trolling our back porch last night, which is way better than finding him cuddled up in our bed!

We have A/C ... thank you all for the well wishes 🙂‼️

Dorian the Grey got into a loud tussle in the wee hours of the morning and then didn't initially show-up for breakfast. She was unscathed when we did see her and judging from her predator look, I'm guessing some Coyote had a rough night.

Our thermostat went out a few days ago and the replacement won't be here until this evening. Because it's so hot in the house, the boys have been hanging out in the Speakeasy where we have a separate mini-split. The Muppets have their own A/C, too! Praying for a cool day!!!

Water: If you live somewhere hot, please hydrate! If you happen to be somewhere where the rain is waterfalling from the sky, please avoid low places and don't cross running washes. If you're Sampson, just enjoy the backdrop ❤️‼️

The patio door sensor went off at 3:30am this morning. Dad jumped out of bed to clear the house and backyard, while Mom and Pax held their ground. Dad sent the Wolfhounds out to check the front yard and Sampson...well, Sampson is retired!

‼️ Happy 4th of July ‼️ As much as he loves them, Sampson is going to hang out with Mr. B until the fireworks are over and catch the reruns of them with Mom and Dad on TV 🎇

The Wolfhounds would like to report that the sky all around us yesterday turned black, but our house sat in a little patch of rainless sunshine. I see plant watering in my future!
