8 minutes of Omega Nebula I shot last night. It's pretty low in the sky where I live. I got off four 2-min shots before it went behind the barn. It's approx 5,900 light-years from my telescope and 15 light-years across. Full tech specs: astrobin.com/xdofq2/…

Happy to be back home in Germany 🥳🎉🇩🇪 after some unforgettable days in Greece. I witnessed 11 magical sunsets — many of which I’ve already shared here — often tweeting right from the beach. I even dared to take my iPhone into the sea to capture shots from the water’s surface…
My pic of the Soul Nebula and the Heart Nebula. A double exposure of Bort the cat. My neighbor's tractor from the late 60s that still runs, and is used frequently. Astro pic is 9 hours at 250 mm. Full specs here: astrobin.com/fla2si/B/ #Astrophotography #Space…

It's cloudy so I am working on shooting new calibration frames for the L-Ultimate Filter and looking at old data to re-process since I've gained some more tools. This is the Heart Nebula from last year. I was able to bring out more details and outer nebulosity.
Can ya tell I'm bored?? LOL Here is a re-processed NGC-1499, North American Nebula. Got some more detail out of the central Nebula.
This is the North America Nebula (NGC 7000) in Cygnus. 3 hours of data processed in Pixinsight. I used my SvBony SV-503 80ED with the SV-193 Reducer on this. The camera was the ZWO ASI533mc Pro OSC.
Some bee photos I took this morning. Telephoto around 200 mm, me standing near the bush, bright morning Sun, using manual focus, and 1/1600th of a second at f/stops F/6, F/8, and F/22. Using exposure compensation to dim it a bit on the F/stops. @isastroatelier

IC 1311 · Open Cluster of diamond stars, served on a gooey red bed of hydrogen. I shot this over past 4 nights. 14 hours, 40 min. No filters. Fun fact: In December I can shoot as much in one night here as I can in July in 4 nights. Full tech stats: astrobin.com/b4bbdo/…

Each summer
Each summer we witness a brief but remarkable phase in our garden: Fledgling barn swallows perch quietly for a day, still dependent on their parents for food. Within 24 hours, they take to the air - strong enough to fly and feed mid-flight. A swift transition, typical for Hirundo…
Two different cats we care for. One on the right came with our farm.

International Space Station. 30-second DSLR tripod shot I took in dawn twilight a few summers ago.
