Detweiller at Dark! It was a wild one with a storm delay but so proud of these athletes for coming back after the 1 hour delay on a humid bus and racing their hearts out. Most importantly, it was fun! So proud of our runners!

Proud of our athletes for competing against the best in the state at the Illinois Top Times Indoor Championship! Our medalists were: Zach Duffie: 1st Place 800m (1:59.15) AnnMarie Trentman: 3rd Place 60m Hurdles (9.27) Matt Pluff: 4th Place High Jump (1.92m [6’3.5”])

Yesterday, the boys and girls competed at the Gene Armer Invitational at the University of Illinois at Champagne-Urbana. Here are the medaling events: 4x800: 5th 400: 3rd Long Jump: 1st High Jump: 2nd Boys 4x400: 3rd 60m Hurdles (girls): 2nd Pole Vault: 5th

Congrats to our runners! Both teams, Girls’ and Boys,’ qualified for the IHSA Team Academic Achievement Award based on cumulative team GPA during the past season! It’s a testament to all of our hardworking student athletes, as they are dedicated inside and outside the classroom!

Trip to Olney for sectional @FreeburgCC means a hunt for white squirrels!!

Our runners laid it all out on the course today at Sectionals! Our Girls team ran their hearts out as a group! They finished 15th overall. In the Boys’ race, Mark Rozhon represented FCHS individually and finished 28th overall, finishing with a time of 16:04.39! So proud!!

FCHS competed at the Class 2A Regional at SIUC. The boys’ team finished 8th place. The boys barely missed qualifying for sectionals but had an amazing season! Congrats to Mark Rozhon for qualifying as an individual today. He will race at Sectionals next week! @FCHS77Athletics
