Prayerful mornings with coffee are the best way to start the day

Here’s me with my new bestie, Ursus Paulus, our local St. Paul bear here in New Bern, NC! 🐻 Did you know? 🐻 “Bern” is the Swiss word for bear — and New Bern wears that name proudly! Founded by Swiss settlers, “Bear Town” is home to dozens of decorated bears all across the…

Parishioners whom I met for the first time this morning told me that they feel like they’ve known me for a while cuz of my “charisma.” Is this what the kids these days call “having aura”?
Don’t mind me - just celebrating Mass in the oldest existing Catholic church in North Carolina
Old St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church - New Bern, North Carolina 1/2 The first Mass in New Bern was celebrated in 1821 in a private residence. Constructed between 1840 and 1841 in the Greek Revival style, it is the oldest Catholic church in North Carolina. Though most Masses…

Met the Pope. Wins Wimbledon. Leo fever.
Jannik Sinner of Italy is the 2025 Wimbledon Champion! The Princess of Wales congratulates him, and awards him with the #Wimbledon trophy.
Christ loved us without cost, without hesitation, without pause. That’s the measure. That’s the model. We must now, in turn live and love as such: freely and wholeheartedly. “Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.” (Mt 10:8)
The #breviaryviews in @DioceseHelena are extraordinary tonight. 2,000 mile mark surpassed on our family road trip.
Pope Leo's soft voice in english 🥹😭 "We have our ears flooded constantly with all kinds of digital inputs, but sometimes we forget to listen to our own hearts. And it's in our hearts that God speaks to us."
‘I no longer call you servants… I have called you friends.’ (John 15:15) Priesthood is such a gift, a brotherhood, a life poured out in love, a friendship that lasts for a lifetime. Watching my best friend give his ‘yes’ reminded me of my own — and why it’s all still worth it.

What an incredible weekend. Shoutout to @PappaSciarappa for taking incredible photos!

One Roman empire can only be thought of daily. Another can still be lived daily.
Fr. Dan celebrated a beautiful first mass with a masterful homily on this great Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul! Truly an honor to be one of his principal concelebrants 😁 God is so good.

My dear best friend got ordained to the priesthood yesterday for the Diocese of Pittsburgh! It was an honor, not only to witness it, but to also vest him as he dawns the stole and chasuble of the Priesthood for the first time. Ad multos annos, Father(!!!) Dan!
