Pending verification, this wouldn't surprise me either. Russia has been pressuring Touadéra for some time to replace Wagner with Africa Corps. Despite CAR's skepticism, it's likely they'll eventually give in. Russia has too much leverage there and can impose even surreal demands.

🇷🇺🇲🇱| A video is circulating from pro-FLA sources that reportedly shows one of the Mi-24 helicopters shot down near Kidal. The helicopter had taken part in providing air support to the FAMA-AK convoy days earlier.

Pro-FLA media published a video of one of the helicopters after a forced landing near the Kidal base, after suffering direct hits during the fighting near the city on July 14th.

Unverified reports talk of a Su24 crashing near Gao, this would be the second crash of such jet in Mali in a few months, other reports state that a helicopter conducted a forced landing in Ségou region today as well, I won't be sharing images until the reports are clarified.

🇷🇺| Russia’s Africa Corps has begun recruiting specialized motorcycle and ATV instructors, a key capability widely used by Russian forces in the Sahel, especially in Mali and the Central African Republic, directly inherited from Wagner.

France left today its' last military base in Senegal, finally concluding its' military presence in the Sahel as a whole after they left Mali, Niger, Chad and Burkina Faso, France retains presence in Ivory Coast and Benin.
