The regime in Iran, which has committed itself to bringing ‘death to America’ and wiping Israel off the map, has rejected all diplomatic pathways to peace. The mullahs’ misguided pursuit of nuclear weapons must be stopped. As we take action tonight to ensure a nuclear weapon…

Great photo. This changes the total cost of the bill by about $400 million. Cuts now total about $9 billion. x.com/JenniferShutt/…
OMB Director Russ Vought tells us there will be a managers amendment to the rescissions bill that will remove PEPFAR.
It's that time of night when House members emerge from dinners and start REALLY demanding clarity from leadership. Especially on a week they want to be with family. Johnson will have to show some movement soon. We're down to 2 not voting on this open procedural vote (NOT rule)
There is zero rush by Senate to move along with these amendments. The last amendment vote from Murray was open for 45+ minutes. It just failed. This is NOT your average vote-a-rama (usually overnight, and much faster)
I asked Markwayne Mullin if there was ever a conversation about overruling the parliamentarian given the provisions that have been ruled as violating Byrd. He said that is not a discussion. Always interesting to see what House conservatives say about some of these provisions.
Thune insists senate still "on schedule" to pass reconciliation by the end of the week. He said Republicans actively making counter offers with parl on items deemed out of order. Asked if he will have the votes , "I hope so"
US personnel at the embassies in Qatar and Bahran are in “duck and cover” as Iran launches retaliatory missiles toward Qatar and Iraq, multiple sources familiar with the matter tell @kylieatwood @jmhansler

I spent millions of my own money and TRAVELED THE ENTIRE COUNTRY campaigning for President Trump and his MAGA agenda and his promises. And Trump’s MAGA agenda included these key promises: NO MORE FOREIGN WARS. NO MORE REGIME CHANGE. WORLD PEACE. And THIS is what the people…
The US conveyed to Iran through back-channel discussions that the strikes Trump ordered on the country's nuclear facilities would be contained & that no further strikes were planned going forward, per people familiar with the discussions, @ZcohenCNN @Kevinliptakcnn.

The President made the right call, and did what he needed to do. Leaders in Congress were aware of the urgency of this situation and the Commander-in-Chief evaluated that the imminent danger outweighed the time it would take for Congress to act. The world’s largest state…
Top Dems on House and Senate Intel Committees — Jim Himes and Mark Warner, both members of Gang of Eight — were not briefed before the attacks on Iranian nuclear sites, per sources.
Top Republican on Foreign Relations Jim Risch just told me he's going to the WH now to meet with Trump.
Big beautiful bus is ready for Finance members to head to the WH.

New wrinkle here in the Senate math to get this bill passed by July 4th. x.com/mkraju/status/…
Elon Musk is now openly bashing Trump’s “big beautiful bill” as GOP leaders try to get senators behind their version
Thune says reconciliation bill is "most likely" coming to the Senate floor last week of the work period. Adds that it's possible it gets moved up, depending on how quickly parl process goes
Johnson is talking to senators about reconciliation and importance of not changing too much. “I’ve made my recommendation clear that they make as few changes as possible because that makes it easier for us to get it to the President, but we’ll have to see how that comes out."
When I asked Speaker Johnson about potential for Russia sanctions, he said he has not spoken to Trump about it but that “there are many members of Congress that want us to sanction Russia as strongly as we can, and I’m an advocate of that.”
Here is how Thune is laying out next steps on reconciliation per @mkraju "I think we are on track I hope at least to be able to produce something that we can pass through the Senate, send back to the House have them pass and put on the President's desk by the Fourth of July."
