Honing my arguments against Josh Kraft in the Globe comment section. Kraft is a poor choice for Boston. Read to the end to understand what's really at stake with this guy. bostonglobe.com/2025/02/04/met…

Bright and early, our PWD crews were hard at work keeping Boston beautiful! 🧹🗑️ Litter was swept up and streets cleaned across #Dorchester, #Mattapan, #Roslindale, #Roxbury & the #SouthEnd - plus a deep power wash of the netting under the A Street bridge in #FortPoint.
Real talk about Kraft and Trump. Kraft has *repeatedly* signaled to MAGA supporters that he backs ICE raids on innocent people in their homes and on the streets of Boston. Find just ONE example where Kraft doesn’t slip in his qualifiers. See thread below and PROVE ME WRONG.
Josh Kraft misled @ElMundoBoston listeners/viewers this week. Kraft was asked if he supports ICE rounding up innocent people, those not on criminal warrants or detainers, and he feigned outrage. But —as always— he slipped in his qualifiers. Hear me out in this thread. 🧵 (1/4)
I’d like to know #whyjosh isn’t releasing his #taxreturns like he said he would. Like @wutrain did. But that would be, “Why not, Josh?” I leave the answer to your imagination.
We’re one week into Josh Kraft’s low-energy, zero-prep #WhyJosh marketing campaign, with two tweets from Kraft’s X account using the hashtag. Here’s how it’s going. #WhyJosh tweet #3 is below. It’s from 2022. Kraft’s campaign did nothing to make this hashtag plan work. Nothing.
LOL I saw that. Also, it’s a “one time” reduction back to 13%, not a permanent change. But most of them already have 13%. So for almost all developments current and future, nothing will change 😂😂

Another full front page and full page inside about AG Campbell? The sheer pettiness of the Herald, nickel and diming with no attempt to inform readers how many $millions the AG’s actions have returned, or the intangible value of the AG office’s work. 100% manufactured outrage.

Globe coverage of the TD Garden experience that I described below: The surprising joy of an arena concert without phones… bostonglobe.com/2025/07/22/art…
At a concert at TD Garden last night, all phones were locked in a Yondr bag, carried/worn by each owner, unlocked on the way out. The stadium was dark, save for spotlights illuminating cones of fog. The audience was *extremely* present. Best concert innovation in recent years.
The Josh Kraft “rent control” plan is designed to virtually ensure that these things will happen: - Corporate landlords get a tax break and still raise rent by 8-10% per year - A bunch of other landlords get a tax break who would’ve charged reasonable rent increases anyway
Advice to Josh Kraft from Boston Herald and Globe columnists has finally jumped the shark.

Josh says he listens but that just isn’t true. I’ve been saying this 👇🏼 since February!

Masterful job by @BostonPWD cleaning streets in Fort Point. Attention to A Street sidewalks under Summer Street bridge: Outstanding. Streets and sidewalks all the way to North Station this morning were immaculate. 💯🙏🏼👍🏼

Oh. My. God. Oh my God. What has been discovered through a FOIA, reported by The Contrarian, cannot be true. Please tell me this is not true. $67 for two! An egg white frittata! What next will top execs in public service see fit to do?

While the Wu administration’s work on climate change is leading internationally in this week’s Guardian (UK), the video below is a grave reminder as to what’s at stake in this election: A return to good ol’ boys who’ve been led to believe they were born to lead.
Oh. My. God. @MassAGO spent $3,900 on travel, food and lodging at a conference commemorating the Battle of Normandy. Much ado about nothing in the petty, parochial Herald. Sourced from Republican-led, dark money nonprofit Mass Fiscal (ID’ed as a “state watchdog”).

I thought he'd make a statement in support of @Aramark Corporation
How flood-ravaged Boston took on the climate deniers – and won… theguardian.com/environment/20…
Wu’s laser focus on representing the whole city vs. Kraft’s pure pursuit of profit couldn’t be more stark. Wu does hold the better cards here, and Kraft a mostly junk hand. Very different times from when Boston was largely forced to accept that very un-Boston casino.
If only those who routinely fault others for not being "fiscally responsible" would estimate and publish costs of their own taxpayer-funded concepts. Josh Kraft, why no costs in your oddly retro transpo "plan?" And on this topic, how much would a new Pest Control Dept. cost?
Any statement by Josh Kraft in support of labor must be put in context: Kraft is a transactionalist. He moved to Boston when it was convenient. He registered as a Dem when it was convenient. The Kraft track record with its own union? Second to worst. nflpa.com/report-cards/2…
@FortPointer I’m shocked (NOT) that @JoshKraftBoston hasn’t made a statement in support of the @Aramark employees working at @fenwaypark @RedSox
Today’s column by Battenfeld must have been co-written by Paul Weiss, the USA’s leader in shameless, mealy-mouthed capitulation. Tell Bob Kraft that he’s off by $25-$50m in funds needed for transit/transpo mitigation in Bos. His #NERevs stadium will benefit from sound planning.
