Did you know…? Garden & sports netting can harm #hedgehogs! 🥅 Their spines can get stuck & even if they manage to escape, problems can develop where skin is damaged (which may not even be visible at first) 🦔 Tie up sports nets when not in use & keep garden nets raised 30cm up.
Would you have guessed that #hedgehogs are good swimmers? 🦔💧 But they're not so good at getting out of steep sided ponds & pools - so it's vital to make sure there is a sloping side, ramp or 'beach' so they can climb out safely. Share this post or tag a pal who has a pond!

We've got lots of baby hoglets with us at the moment. These four came into us the other week after being found abandoned. Still very much needing milk from mum but old enough to know that we aren't mum, these little hoglets looked more like chestnuts after they fell off the…

This week, why not chat to your neighbours about #Hedgehog Highways? 🦔 One garden isn't enough for a 'hog - they need space to roam & gaps in garden fences & walls provide access to habitat! buff.ly/46GFIBk 📷 Chris Morgan & #HedgehogStreet, run jointly by us & @PTES
Feeling the heat this weekend? So is our wildlife! 🥵☀️ With temperatures soaring, here are four ways to help your garden visitors stay cool this summer:
Please keep your water bowls topped up. They’re a lifeline for all creatures great and small #toohot #helpwildlife #water #birds #hedgehogs #foxes #bees #badgers

The weather is warming up - so it’s vital to provide extra water for wildlife! 🌡️☀️💦 Shallow dishes placed around gardens & green spaces can be a lifeline to thirsty #hedgehogs, birds & bees! 🦔🐦🐝 Add some pebbles where insects can perch & drink too! 📹 Wendy Noblet
Did you know...? Lawns provide a home for beetles, other insects & worms - which can all attract other #wildlife like #hedgehogs! 🪲 🪱 🐜 So let the grass grow long, ditch the chemicals & wait for the wildlife to arrive! 🦔 Good news for laidback gardeners! #FridayFact
Spotted a hedgehog in your garden? 🦔 Don't forget to log any sightings on the Big Hedgehog Map – every ‘hog logged helps us get a better understanding of hedgehog presence & spread across the UK! 🔎 🗺️ 📊 buff.ly/2NdtOr7 #HedgehogStreet is run jointly by us & @ptes
These beautiful young swifts have more than one nest to sleep in but love to cuddle up. Swifts are incredibly difficult to look after. They never feed themselves & require support feeding from dawn to dusk until they’re released. Once they take to the skies, they will in…
