Public schools allocate a huge portion of their resources to the bottom quartile of students, aiming to close achievement gaps. But does this come at the expense of middle and high-achieving students? Should we rethink how we distribute support?

One of the biggest issues in education… The people that make decisions for what is best for students are NOT teachers. Nor are teachers even asked. And neither are students/parents.
Interviewed a ‘Teacher of the Year’ who left the profession 6 months ago. “Why did you resign?” “I was constantly exhausted, overwhelmed, and left feeling unappreciated. Even with strong classroom management, student behavior was unmanageable—and the pay was simply too low.”
8 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗦 𝗔𝗚𝗢 “Teachers need to either stop complaining or quit!” 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗡𝗢𝗪 Teachers have left the profession at record rates. America is currently short 320,000+ teachers and it’s only getting worse. NOW WHAT?

Cars evolved from wooden wheels and hand cranks to self-driving tech. Schools? Sure we’ve made some amazing and needed leaps, but the vast majority of the work needed has been done by teachers.
