Jaume Collet-Serra's ORPHAN was released on this day in 2009, and is a modern-day great in my humble opinion.

Since the release of the new film it's been great to see so many fans watch, rewatch, and appreciate the original movie - a solid slasher that I've often argued deserves better. Whatever your thoughts on the polarizing sequel, this can be nothing but a positive outcome.

It’s never too early to start planning your Halloween watchlist. 🎃

SEASONAL SCREAMS now available from Walmart for my friends in the US. walmart.com/ip/Seasonal-Sc…

Having low expectations is the key to becoming a happy and content movie fan. Let it go and start having fun again.
Although this was EXACTLY what I expected (and wanted), I actually enjoyed it more than some of this year's more prolific slasher releases - this movie doesn't give a shit about impressing anybody, and I found that quite refreshing! Funny how that happens sometimes.

I haven't seen enough John Carpenter love on my timeline lately, so I'll just leave this here.

Proud dad moment! Watched my daughter graduate today👩🎓 Well done, Alana x They grow up quick😭
Thinking about the opening of SCREAM 2 (1997). Although not my favourite slasher from the '90s, that particular sequence is one of the best prologues of any movie from that decade.

"I'm sure your knowledge of bullshit is limitless." Rob Zombie's THE DEVIL'S REJECTS was released on this day, in 2005.

Happy birthday to Wes Craven’s THE HILLS HAVE EYES. Released on this day in 1977.

Saw someone criticising THE LOST BOYS (1987) because it’s “dated” and feels too much like the ‘80s. That’s the f*cking point! 🤦🏻♂️

Now this has just made my day! 😀
Production on slasher sequel IN A VIOLENT NATURE 2 begins this September in Canada.
