Michigan is one of the half dozen swing states in the 2024 US presidential election, and it is facing a split vote. A decent voting method like Approval Voting would allow voters to express their full and true opinions while denying lesser candidates their spoiler threat.
This week’s main story is about RFK Jr.’s presidential campaign, his troubling policy proposals, who his views are impacting on and off the campaign trail, and what John’s nickname is around the gym.
How about we just do Approval Voting to get rid of the vote splitting while keeping center expansion 👀

The six swing states are Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada. As this poster correctly notes, voting has multiple purposes, and one is to send a message. Under Approval Voting, we could send a message *and* make a difference. x.com/SciLibertarian…
These are the swing states in the U.S. if you vote for Kamala in a Red States or Trump in a Blue State, and its winner take all, your vote does NOTHING. If you vote for @ChaseForLiberty you get a third party Ballot Access and maybe higher FEC Status. bbc.com/news/articles/…
Reform UK got more votes than the Liberal Democrats, but the Lib Dems got 14x the seats.
I just can’t get past Labour winning 65% of seats off 34% of the vote. Absolutely wild mismatch between the headline result and, well, everything else. Britain is now a multi-party system, and first-past-the-post can’t cope.
