They got back to me! According to them it is the same project! However they have since left it, but they did leave a note for the new director to give me credit for my work on the film. So fingers crossed! I wanna see how it turned out.
Wait...this can't be....can it? My first industry job was freelancing character design for a Chinese Tom and Jerry film called The Forbidden City. I thought the project was cancelled but it actually got made?! That's so cool!
