Glad that @axainsurance did not repatriate someone who was in a Coma from a TBI when patients are not safe to travel. I was in this situation 2010 and had great travel insurance who put me in the care of an excellent neurosurgeon who was 100% focused on safety and good outcomes

We understand the grave importance of the Glasgow Coma Scale re repatriation safety. Our Co-Producer Ben was only safe for repatriation once stable on the GCS. With an icy refuelling stop in Iceland his medical team told him he bolted upright when the plane doors were opened.#TBI
