How am I supposed to tell the close minded middle aged man who is a fellow volunteer at a church function that he can't scold me like I'm his kid whenever he gets offended by me voicing an opinion that he doesn't agree with? He doesn't even have kids! And I'm 23!

My first proof copy came in!!! It needs a couple tweaks, but this is so exciting I'm going to explode with happiness.

Napping right after editing is the way to go in my opinion. My brain was so tired, I just drifted off.

I have almost 30 unread books at home, but I want to go to the bookstore and buy more.

I got my first library card since I was a kid! I'm going to listen to ALL of the audiobooks.

I only have to give the dog one last insulin shot before I'm done pet sitting and can go home. Wish me luck. Cause he REALLY hates taking them.

What would you do if you found out that each time an author wrote a book, a new dimension was created where all events of the books happened?

I don't always write, but... Well, that's it. I don't always write. I've got a lot of side hobbies, a day job, and a couple mental illnesses that get in the way sometimes.

The dog I'm pet sitting scratched open his stitches from a cyst removal and now he has to go to the vet😮‍💨

What's wrong with having a hobby? Well, for me they end up consuming my life and becoming more than hobbies.

I'm finishing up a pet sitting job, and my paperback proof is waiting for me at home. I'm so excited!

Pet/house sitting is fun, but it's always a relief to come home and sleep in my own bed.

There are few things I dislike more than when people say reading is boring. Literally my biggest ick.

Sometimes you need to take a break from writing and binge the entire Alien/Predator franchise.

Sometimes life gives you lemons. Sometimes it gives you a 12 year old diabetic dog with anxiety and a cyst you have to keep him from licking to pet sit.

"Let me go check on my cover artist real quick." *opens my sister's bedroom door* "Is it done yet!?"

WTF is up with Ingramspark? They told me there was an issue with my cover, but I can't edit it because of the status. The status is "Awaiting Update". HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO UPDATE IT IF I CAN'T EDIT IT!!?

Sometimes you have a sacred space where you love all the people and the environment and the work you're doing. And then some toxic personality comes along and ruins it, but only a couple other people see it, so you can't say anything without sounding crazy.

Happy Fourth of July to all the people who no longer feel welcome in America. You deserve better.
