News: Officials with @GovRonDeSantis and new CFO @GovGoneWild are starting DOGE audits of local governments. They’ve sent these letters to Gainesville and Broward County tonight with seven pages of audit requests like details on compensation, grants, contracts, DEI, and more:

Sad news: Democrat @RepJoeCasello has suffered a massive heart attack. According to an email from the Palm Beach leg. delegation, "Despite the tireless efforts of his medical team, the damage to his heart was extensive, and unfortunately he is not expected to recover."

NEWS: Rep.@CoryMillsFL (R-FL) tells me he is "all paid in full" after a property management company alleged in D.C. Superior Court that he owed $85k in back rent since March & filed papers to evict him. Mills tells @scrippsnews he now expects the case to be dropped. WATCH ⤵️

NEW: Florida Supreme Court upholds the state's congressional maps. A challenge had been brought over the former CD 5, a Black opportunity district stretching from Jacksonville to Tallahassee that was removed by the Legislature at the direction of Gov. DeSantis.

DeSantis appears to be cooling off, for now at least, on a plan to build a second state-run immigrant detention center at Camp Blanding. He said he won’t consider building another temporary detention facility until the one in the Everglades reaches capacity. Story link below.

There has been some speculation on This Site about DeSantis for AG if Bondi is out, I’d be highly skeptical of that Not likely at all
