Today more than ever, #agricultural research is vital. @FAO & @narouganda collaborate in research & dev’t of resilient crop varieties that can match up to new and emerging threats. @FAODG today paid homage to this enduring collaborations & pledged continued support.

.@FAO is promoting sustainable #foodsystems to end hunger and malnutrition. A motivated workforce is key to this vision. @FAODG interacted with @FAOUganda staff.  He listened first hand to feedback on how FAO can achieve even greater impact for the people of Uganda.

Earlier today, @FAODG QU Dongyu visited the FAO Uganda office in Kampala. He immersed himself in the Representation’s ongoing programmes which are supporting @GovUganda’s #agriculture & rural development agenda.

Today, @FAODG QU Dongyu met with Hon. @raphaelMagyezi and Hon. @DrRwamiramaBK at a high level meeting in Kampala and discussed strengthening collaboration to enhance Uganda’s agricultural systems, improve service delivery, and support national development priorities.

Earlier today, l had the privilege to host the D.G @FAODG H.E. Qu Dongyu @Maaif in Entebbe. The D.G who is on a 3 day State visit to Uganda will visit projects supported by @FAOUganda to guidance on policy direction aimed at bridging gaps in food security & livestock disease
