Yesterday, hubby had to run to the bigger city, and while he was there, he picked up more fruit. This time it was 20 pounds of peaches and another 8 pound flat of strawberries. Looks like I have more jam making to do, and I am excited for it.
Had a decently busy morning doing some running around and doing a bit of baking. I may spend the rest of the day reading, as I have a library book due back soon and I've barely touched it.

We have tomatoes! I spotted these small tomatoes a few days back and was so excited I forgot to take pictures. I can't remember the variety that I planted, but I know they are paste tomatoes. Cannot wait for these to grow bigger, ripen, and eventually harvest.

I braved the heat to refill the kiddie pool in our backyard, partially for our dog but mostly for the local birds to enjoy. A few rocks placed within allow birds and insects to safely get a drink on these hot days.
It's only 9 am, and it's already hot. This is definitely a stay inside and do nothing kind of day.
It's been a very busy day. I knocked out some extra tasks, knowing tomorrow is going to be hot and I won't want to do as much. Now, to play Stardew Valley and watch some All Creatures Great & Small.

Is it just me, or have the days been passing quickly lately? I swear most of July has gone by in the blink of an eye. Most days, it's 8am one minute and 6pm the next, and I have no idea where those hours go.
I have realized that I will not be able to read all of the library books I have before they are due back. So, I will be returning all but 2. One of which is partially read, and the other, I have confidence I can read in time.
