Cubs' 10th Round Pick Justin Stransky: A classic Cubs mid-round catcher. Excellent defensively with a 44% caught stealing rate and outstanding "east-west" framing. At the plate, he may not project as a star, but still shows impressive contact rates and a mature approach.
17th Rounder Logan Poteet: Cubs took another catcher late, who spent last year at Vanderbilt before transferring/starting at UNCC. A solid defender (35% CS%) who receives breaking balls and outside pitches exceptionally. Also flashed some pop, with 15 balls in play >105 mph EV.
