Thinking about how many scenes from the trailers were cut, I think Fantastic Four should have been about 20-30 minutes longer. The pacing was good and I love the movie as is, but there were some scenes I was really excited for that didn’t make the cut
When the teaser came out I thought this was a flashback scene of them gaining the powers. I never thought it could be something better
I fear the MCU cannot top this scene.

My biggest criticism/peeve with it is that I wish it was LONGER
the amount of AURA that this single scene gave to her, the movie, the team, the franchise, and the whole marvel studios should be studied
I can’t stop thinking about all the scenes with Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four. Her presence was incredibly captivating throughout the entire film, the visual effects for her design looked insane, and the usage of her surfing in space was unreal. Matt Shakman absolutely cooked.

Fantastic Four: First Steps was everything I wanted it to be. The family dynamic was firing on all cylinders and the retro future aesthetic easily made it the most visually compelling MCU movie I’ve seen in a while. Wish it was a bit longer, but I’m excited for the MCU’s future.

Saw #FantasticFour a couple nights ago and it’s such a huge win. Awesome world, fantastic score, incredible VFX, and Sue Storm is the best new MCU hero in over 5 years. Loved it!
