EvE Bio
@EvEBiotech
Durham NC nonprofit biotechnology start-up working to map the pharmome. Nurtured by @Convergent_FROs, supported by generous philanthropists.
EvE Bio's pharmome-mapping online data has just been adopted by yet another biomedical reasoning model; in this case @KexinHuang5's Biomni at Stanford U. The snowballing adoption of our data is very exciting.
👋 Biomni v0.0.4 is now released! In one week of open-sourcing, we have seen amazing contributions from the community: - Multimodal LLM ChatNT @instadeepai as a tool to let Biomni talk with raw DNA/RNA/protein sequence - Added biomedical knowledge graph PrimeKG with millions of…

Exciting to see EvE Bio's ever-expanding pharmome mapping dataset (data.evebio.org) cited as a source of training/test data for @FutureHouseSF's ether0 LLM, a new scientific reasoning model for chemistry. Their preprint is here: storage.googleapis.com/aviary-public/…

EvE Bio's public data release #4: 1.4k Rx drugs vs 24 new potential off-targets including adrenergic, apelin, muscarinic, dopamine, gastrin-releasing, orexin, 5-HT, neuromedin, opioid, prostaglandin, sphingosine, somatostatin & neuromedin receptors. evebio.org/data

Wake up, babe...EvE Bio's data release #4 just dropped. 1.4k Rx drugs, 85 targets (and counting) 237k mode/target/compound combos 8 median agonists per target (< 1 uM) 31 median antagonists per target (< 1uM) Browse or DL (for non-commercial use) at evebio.org/data

Come work with us in Durham, NC! EvE Bio's Assay Dev team seeks a pharmacology scientist to develop new cell-based screening assays. This is a temp position (filling in for a scientist on family leave) with potential to become permanent. jobs.lever.co/convergentrese…
1/ UPDATE: I'm so excited to announce our newest program: the Big if True Science Accelerator (BiTS). The goal is help more scientists design the type of ambitious research programs that were critical to advancements such as the Internet or mRNA vaccines. A few items to note:
Our data release #3, now live at data.evebio.org, adds 7 new nuclear receptors + 14 new 7TMs to our ever-growing list of human gene products screened against 1.4K FDA-approved drugs to ID off-targets, train AIs, repurpose drugs, and more. Enjoy!

EvE Data Release 2 now live! 1.4K drugs' activities at 21 7TMs including ADRA2A ADRA2B ADRA2C ADRB1 ADRB2 DRD1 DRD2 GAL1 GAL2 GHSR HRH1 HRH3 HRH4 HTR1A HTR1B HTR1D HTR1F HTR2A HTR5 HTR6 PTH1R in ag & antag modes. data.evebio.org
Are you a molecular or synthetic biologist, with molecular biology & mammalian cell culture skills, living in NC's Research Triangle region (extra points if you're experienced in drug development/discovery in academia or industry)? Let's talk! 🧪 jobs.lever.co/convergentrese…
🧪 Not an EvE Bio production, but uses our recent Data Release 1 data. Very cool to gain a peek into how others' minds approach dataviz surrounding our work. Open data unleashes enormous creativity. longitudinal.blog/2024/11/20/f...
OK have to be done being nerd-sniped till their next data drop :-) longitudinal.blog/2024/11/20/fir…
Here's a little drawing of the some of the 1400 compounds released in @EvEBiotech's first data dump.
