It appears Wagoner County officials think citizens who tried to get a grand jury to investigate them, may have committed a crime. Lt. Danny Elliott, who signed the affidavit for warrant, told me he didn't know about any investigation like this, and declined to comment.

I find like 98% of all civil forfeiture cases I've read about to be ridiculous. It often feels like state-sanctioned theft. I know that, in some circumstances, it might make sense. I just never read stories with any of those circumstances.
