Catholic-Orthodox Papacy Debate feat. Ubi Petrus (FACE REVEAL) vs Erick ... youtube.com/live/7IMTszXjh… via @YouTube
I enjoy speaking with you as well. And it’s a coincidence because Lane and I had a private zoom discussion and we are planning a live video ! Pray for that
I am looking for a well-followed Protestant who is willing to dialogue/debate on the subject of justification as it relates to my book. Can anyone point me to one

The irony here is that this is precisely Theodore abu Qurrah's point! But such points aren't an excuse for someone's lack of work. As Paul said, if a man won't work, he won't eat. In the same way, a man who lacks diligence won't learn anything.
Few things are more edifying on social media than seeing feuding Catholic accounts reconcile and apologize. I got more joy from watching the forgiveness between @ReasonTheology and @ErickYbarra3 and, more recently, @OVTweetmarck and @WalmartThomist than anything else around here.
Yes I’m sure people believe it
Erick Ybarra has given us the clearest example of sophistry I can show you. Here he is, admitting that his inability to defend the papacy is deliberate and joyful, because he enjoys the reaction he gets. @ErickYbarra3 is a troll who doesn’t even attempt to tell the truth.
I don’t believe we have a decree at all, akin to Damasus contra Timothy of Egypt + the like, contra Meletios’s position as a Christian man. In fact, the records indicate otherwise. Flavian is the one who ventured into greater suspicion. Meletios was viewed as in the pax of Rome.
Neither Meletios, Gregory of Nazianz, nor Gregory of Nyssa thought Rome was out of communion. That's why the 3rd canon of C'ple (381) ranked Constantinople as 1st *AFTER ELDER ROME*, because the latter was clearly understood to be in the unity of the one Church.
The first council of Constantinople, where the four marks of the church and the doctrine of the Holy Spirit was developed, was held in schism from Rome. And no Western Bishops were even present. The Church in the first 1000 yrs was Concilliar.
Honored and humbled to announce that @michaeljknowles has joined Eternal Christendom's Advisory Board! His statement: “One of the many advantages of Catholic life is that we need not start constantly from scratch. We can learn the fullness of truth through a golden thread of…
in omnibus operibus tuis memorare novissima tua et in aeternum non peccabis In all thy works remember thy last end, and thou shalt never sin. (Ecclesiasticus 7:40)

Just finished reading this behemoth. Unbelievable how much detail was fleshed out in here. Truly a masterpiece. I'm thankful for the care and time @ErickYbarra3 spent putting this together.
New pics. Goals are being met. Gotta lot of work to do. Almost down to 300lbs

We all dismiss things. I think the real problem is that we think ourselves greater than we ought. I’ll speak for myself
That’s true but what passes from Father to son is not merely “the power to produce a divine person,” but specifically active spiration. And so bc of that spirative specificity, the HS does not become fertile to make another divine person. It terminates with Him.
I’m not a priest. 2nd, this is an OLD objection + the distinction between action and passion is definitely a relational opposition. Are you seriously going to deny this? This is basic in Aristotle, and Aquinas employs it. What’s happening here is your GOTCHA just doesn’t work.
Well, let’s change that then. It is material that appears to strongly support the Filioque that is categorized as merely a note on the Triune consubstantiality. I think if you read Cyril’s commentary on John 15:26 and 16:13, it becomes clear that he did not read it like Photius.
Great video from @ErickYbarra3 on the question presenting the Catholic interpretation of it. youtu.be/zvTrJNiwZvA?si…
