A local journalist who was on the scene this evening has confirmed to me that the building that burned down was not intended to be an IPAS centre but part of a large social housing and regeneration project by Mayo CoCo.
A large building which has been earmarked to be a forced IPAS (illegal immigrant) centre in County Mayo has burned to the ground.
