Follow along as I paint the alveoli in the lungs 🫁. The lungs have about 500 million alveoli which are tiny air sacs. They expand to take in oxygen when we breathe in and shrink to expel carbon dioxide when we breathe out. #medicalillustration #alveoli #respiratorysystem
