We were honoured to welcome His Majesty The King to Walmer Castle and Deal Castle yesterday, joined by the Lord Warden, Admiral Sir George Zambellas. The King toured the gardens, planted a tree and met staff, volunteers, and Cinque Ports representatives 🌳👑 📸 KT Bruce


Big news for 1066 fans from @britishmuseum and @BayeuxMuseum... the Bayeux Tapestry is heading to the UK! 📍 The Bayeux Tapestry’s 70 metres of storytelling lead to this very battlefield, where William the Conqueror’s Norman invaders met King Harold’s English army.

This is Carn Euny Ancient Village in Penzance 🌟 If you visit, look out for the fogou (seen in the second picture). This is a type of underground structure, it's purpose remains unknown, found only in Cornwall. The fogou was discovered in the 1840s by miners looking for tin.
