With great excitement at the #Rotary25 opening session, we announced a renewed partnership with the @gatesfoundation, pledging up to $450M over 3 years to #EndPolio. This is more than funding. This is a renewed promise to future generations. 🔗: on.rotary.org/4nfojJa


Since 1988, @Rotary and @UNICEF have worked side by side as founding members of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, helping reduce polio cases by more than 99% and vaccinate hundreds of millions of children worldwide.
With our Partners @RACUpperKololo and @RotaractClubVU Child and Maternal Health care is a key forcus area, the message is clear that we want a Polio Free word, our goal is to ensure that we are the Generation that kicked out Polio from the world. All efforts for @EndPolioNow…
It was an honor to present the International Service Award for a Polio-Free World at #Rotary25 to three recipients who exemplify excellence, tireless commitment, and outstanding work in the fight to #EndPolio: Yumi Akeyama, Johrita Solari, and Kimberly Walden.

Congratulations to our GPEI partner @gavi! As a core partner, Gavi introduces the inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) into essential immunization programs – a critical piece of the GPEI’s strategy to #EndPolio for good.
