I know lots of primaries study Queen Elizabeth II in KS1 as a significant person or as part of an introduction to monarchy. This exhibition is a lovely resource to explore. Queen Elizabeth II's fashion to feature in exhibition bbc.com/news/articles/…
Apologies to anyone who’s tried to contact me & hasn’t had a response. I’ve had a very nasty accident & won’t be on SM for a while. I’ll catch up with everything & everyone in time but for the next month or so it’ll be v quiet. Thank you to all who’ve already sent best wishes.

A key phrase from the writing framework that I fear may get lost is around the fact that although it recommends that chn should sit in the correct position for specific writing practice, it goes on to say that this does NOT mean they need to sit at tables for the rest of the day
BIG opportunity for FREE Roman web CPD in November! Please share far and wide as last year was brilliant. It is open to all schools and home educators. @MaryMyatt @Emma_Turner75 @Mr_AlmondED @Suchmo83 @creativeHigg @lamb_heart_tea @histassoc @MrBoothY6 @etaknipsa @AmyCarlile01
You won’t see a finer edu post today 😂😂😂😂😂
My deputy and I coming out for the end of year celebration assembly to Give me Oil in My Lamp…. (I’m on the right..!)
Listen to "Powering Up Pedagogy with Bruce Robertson @BruceNextLevel , Mind the Gap, Ep.101 (S5,E17)" by Mind the Gap: Making Education Work Across the Globe. Brilliant guest - this is a fab episode, packed with sights, with me and @Emma_Turner75 creators.spotify.com/pod/show/mindt…
Is education unique with keynotes/training about how to lead schools delivered by people who’ve never been an actual HT or led in that phase or do other sectors experience similar? I’m not talking about specialist niche info HT might need but actual, this is how you lead a school
I love supporting trusts & schools to write curriculum units. Today I finished one I can say is now amongst my all time favourites. A gorgeous little Local History unit of work on life in Roman Leicester. Very niche but loved every minute of researching & writing it.
Friday. @EducationFest. Great School. It's the place to be! Join me, @Emma_Turner75 and @son1bun - and say hi to @olicav and @MattTeachCoach
Due a change of circumstances our @WALKTHRUs_5 strand at @EducationFest now has a change on Friday. @Emma_Turner75 and I will be doing an extra session on Learning WalkThrus- and how to use them with parents and students. Great School. The place to be!

Rod Stewart, Lulu and Ronnie Wood showing everyone why experience is utterly irreplaceable and truly matters. Absolutely next level. All kinds of wonderful.
In the most exhausting half term of the year, when everyone is crawling through each day, the universe then says, ‘Here, have a massive heatwave too.’ Classrooms full of overheated children & melting teachers, some rooms like actual greenhouses & with zero ventilation. What fun.
Our third annual trust CPD day - six schools, over 500 delegates, 32 workshops and 2 fantastic guest speakers. Thank you @teacherhead and @Emma_Turner75 - so much food for thought. 🙏
