It’s been an exhausting week 😅 After a short nap, I’m going to catch up on some emails ✉️ I’m hoping to solve any problems that residents have noticed in Abbey’s green spaces, including fly tipping! Photo: Big ol’ tree in Histon 🌳

It might be a tiny bit rainy, but I’m out chatting with residents living around Ann’s Road before full council this evening. It’s essential that more is done to listen to regular people in Cambridge, as they have been abandoned by the city’s self-serving politicians ☔️

Since Labour took control of national government last year, the state of our rivers has only gotten worse 💧 You can hear some of my thoughts in this week’s issue of the @CambridgeIndy 🗞️

Our Labour government want to use Cambridge as a crutch for their failing national economy, the reason behind their naive growth strategy. A week ago, I spoke about how it is our city’s most vulnerable residents that will pay the price for their negligence…
Local people are being crushed by the high cost of council tax, which is nearly unbearable for many vulnerable residents. Before bed, I’ve been doing some research into how we got here 📚 Photo: Something more fun - Swamp Thing #37, the debut of comics’ best detective 🔍

Last night, the @CambridgeGreens’ team of county councillors caught up over some green drinks at Green Drinks 🌱🍻

TRANS RIGHTS MATTER 🏳️⚧️ Some rather silly people say that activists fighting for the rights of trans people are too hateful of anybody that disagrees. I gave a rather different view at full council earlier this week…
I’m back in Peterborough for a meeting of the Police and Crime Panel 🚨

The @CambridgeGreens had a great time fighting for residents at Cambridgeshire County Council’s full council meeting today 🌱 As soon as I get home, I’m going to start preparing for the next one ✊

LA NOCHE OSCURA DEL ALMA 🌒 Although I love being a councillor, it can be tough at times. Recently, I’ve had to deal with some very distressing casework, which has gotten me a bit down. This week will be much better! It’s important to enjoy the good times while they’re happening.

Kathryn has been raising money for Medical Aid for Palestinians by doing a sponsored walk around Histon 💚 Last night, I joined her! If you can spare even a small amount of money, she’s close to reaching her goal, so please do pitch in; justgiving.com/page/kathryn-f… 🇵🇸

Earlier this week, the first meeting of Cambridge City Council’s new Housing Advisory Board was held at Meadows Community Centre 🏠 It was quite clear to me that it’s far less democratic than the previous scrutiny committee, especially for tenants!

Did you catch me on BBC Look East last night? 👀 It was great chatting with them about the This Land debacle!
Good morning ☀️ Start your day off right by making yourself a nice cup of tea or coffee and tuning into @BBCCambs, where I’ve heard you’ll be hearing some of my comments on This Land ☕️📻

A week ago, the @CambridgeGreens met with Peter Freeman, chair of the Cambridge Growth Company. You can read about our chat in this week’s issue of the @CambridgeIndy 🗞️

At a recent meeting, I noted Cambridgeshire County Council’s ‘cloak and dagger’ behaviour surrounding This Land. While not all commercial information can be made public, that doesn’t justify so much secrecy. I have submitted another question on this subject to full council…
