Honoured to be MLA for the amazing people of Kootenay-Rockies and Shadow minister of mines and critical minerals.
BC is rich in natural resources, with critical minerals essential for the technologies of tomorrow. We have many mines ready to go, but the permitting process is holding us back and delaying progress. It’s time to unlock our natural resource sector.
Thinking of the families of the three miners trapped underground at the Red Chris Mine today. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this incredibly difficult time. 🙏 #RedChrisMine #PrayForOurMiners #BCStrong

🚨 URGENT UPDATE 🚨 Three miners have been trapped underground following an overnight accident at the Red Chris copper and gold mine in B.C.’s northern Interior. We understand that the workers are currently in a refuge area and, to the best of our knowledge, are uninjured.

Eby Announces a cabinet shift this Thursday. The changes will be “strategic” and “limited in size.” Eby says Let me translate that for you: rearranging the deck chairs while the ship takes on water.

Stopped by the Strongman kickoff at Cranbrook Toyota and somehow ended up pulling a truck! 💪 It brought back memories.I actually competed in this event 15 years ago. Turns out, I’ve still got a little fuel in the tank!
Big thanks to Cranbrook Toyota for nominating me to sit in the dunk tank (in a suit, no less!) at the Strongman Kickoff Pancake Breakfast. It was a blast great laughs, great people, and all for a great cause. Looking forward to the main event on June 21 see you all there!

“Mr. Eby is a snake oil salesman. He’ll tell us how great it is, what the benefits are but we know, in reality, that it will do us no good,” said Tom, who revealed he had voted for the NDP in the provincial election. Tom discovers what we already know—Eby needs to go.

Had a great time presenting to the Kootenay-Rockies @Conservative_BC board on the importance of fundraising! Thanks MLA @ElectPeteDavis for the invite! Friendly reminder that elections are won by fundraising, door-knocking and selling memberships, not by fighting on Twitter.
The Mining Association of BC says the industry could add more to the province's economy by cutting through red tape. As Catherine Urquhart reports, the government says it is working to help the industry add jobs and grow in this province. globalnews.ca/video/11167683…
The people of Kootenay Rockies deserve better. Today in Question Period, I raised a deeply troubling issue that hits close to home: This isn’t acceptable. Not for Cranbrook. Not for Fernie, Sparwood, Elkford—or any of the communities that make up the Kootenay Rockies.

🚨BREAKING🚨 Grand Chief Stewart Phillip of the @UBCIC doubled down on their opposition to this government’s attempted legislative overreach. As I’ve been highlighting: What is this government’s priority? Fast Tracking projects, or sticking by their commitment to DRIPA?…
The NDP are on the verge of losing official party status federally — and it’s no surprise why. Canadians are waking up to the damage their policies have caused across this country. Here in B.C., it’s our turn next. We’re coming after the provincial NDP

What a blast at the Cranbrook Rod and Gun Club Show today! Packed with great booths, passionate outdoorsmen and women, and the kind of down-to-earth, salt-of-the-earth folks that make our region so special.

I had a productive meeting with the Board of Education for School District 5 today to discuss something long overdue: the need for a new Mount Baker Secondary School in Cranbrook.

Big thanks to my team for attending the Tourism Fernie meet and greet tonight on my behalf while I'm in Victoria carrying out MLA duties. I hope everyone had a great time connecting and sharing ideas. Looking forward to seeing you soon, Fernie!

We’re Just Getting Started. Our team has been holding the NDP accountable from day one, and the results speak for themselves. Already, we’ve forced them to backpedal on multiple policies because of the relentless pushback from the Conservative Party of BC.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, friends! May your day be filled with luck, laughter, and just the right amount of green. Enjoy the festivities, raise a glass (or two), and remember—celebrating responsibly means making sure your shenanigans stay fun, not legendary. Cheers! 🍀

Had the honor of being the Master of Ceremonies for the Bucks U15 banquet tonight! A big thank you to Tanya Johnson Waugh for the invite. It was a great night celebrating these hardworking young athletes—let’s go, Bucks!

Trying to Get a Straight Answer on Rural Healthcare I thought I’d try to get a straight answer from the Minister of Health and ask why our region is being left out of the Provincial Rural Retention Incentive—and if she would reconsider this decision.
🚨 15 Days and Still No Plan! 🚨 The NDP government is just 15 days away from their deadline for the new claim-staking process, and still, we have no plan. This uncertainty is unacceptable for the mining industry, workers, and communities that depend on it. We need action now!
It was an honor to start the day with prayer in the House. As we make decisions that impact the people of British Columbia, I pray for wisdom, unity, and a heart to serve with integrity. May we lead with compassion, respect, and a commitment to what is true and just.
